Sayso
Terms of Service
Sayso is made by DANK Studio. These are the terms on which we provide it. They are written to be read, so they are short, and where something is a promise we have kept it a promise.
Effective 2 September 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and [DANK Studio legal entity], “we”, and they apply to anyone who creates an account on Sayso. If you are answering an Ask that somebody sent you, you do not have an account and these terms do not apply to you — the privacy policy explains what happens to what you say.
2. What Sayso is
Sayso lets you write a set of questions (an “Ask”), send a private link to a person, and have them answer by speaking or typing. We record what they say, transcribe it, summarise it and show it to you. The transcription and summaries are produced by software and will contain mistakes; the recording is always kept so you can check.
3. Your account
You need an account to send Asks. Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think somebody else has access. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to hold an account.
4. Paying for it
Sayso is a monthly subscription. The price is shown on the pricing page and at checkout before you pay anything. Payment is taken by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record: your contract for the payment itself is with Paddle, and they issue the invoice and handle VAT and sales tax. We never see your card details.
Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered in our refund policy. If we change the price of your plan we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
5. What you may not do with it
Do not use Sayso to record anyone without their knowledge — the people you send Asks to are told they are being recorded and can see the transcript as they speak, and you must not present it to them as anything else. Do not use it to collect information you have no lawful basis to collect, to send unsolicited links to people who have not agreed to hear from you, or to store anything unlawful. Do not attempt to access other people’s accounts or Asks, or to interfere with the service.
6. Your content and other people’s
The questions you write are yours. The answers people give you are theirs — you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect them and for what you do with them afterwards. Sayso asks each respondent, separately, what you may publish; you agree to honour what they tick and what they leave unticked.
You give us the permission we need to store, transcribe, summarise and show you this content, and nothing more. We do not use your Asks or anyone’s answers to train models, and we do not sell or share them.
7. Availability and losing things
We work hard on not losing recordings — audio is saved to the respondent’s own device before it is uploaded, precisely so a dropped connection does not lose it. But Sayso is a young product provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. Export anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from the settings page. That removes your account, your Asks, every link, every answer and every recording, and cancels your subscription. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of Sayso, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change matters we will email you before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any consumer rights you have where you live.
