Google Forms is free, fast to set up, and lives inside the Google account most teams already have. It has no built-in way to record a voice answer. Sayso is built around exactly that: a private link where someone answers by talking, with the recording kept and, on the paid plan, transcribed.

Google Forms earns its place through reach and price: eleven question types, quiz grading, file uploads up to 100MB, and real-time co-editing between teammates, all free inside a Google account. Answers land as rows in a spreadsheet, which suits a short survey or an RSVP list well. None of that changes how a respondent gives an answer: they still type it. Sayso trades the spreadsheet and the free price tag for a narrower job: getting someone talking through a private link, with what they said kept as a recording rather than reduced to a row.
