Voice-first intake

We are not anti-AI. (We love AI.)
We just think you deserve your clients’ real thoughts.

You have been getting AI-polished answers from clients for a while now. We built the fix.

The problem

The detail you need is in their head, not in the box.

Up to 85% of the forms clients are asked to fill in never get filled in. We know because it happened to us — our own discovery forms, sent to our own clients, came back empty.

Voice-enabled forms see under 20% abandonment, against 40–70% for the standard kind. The fix was never getting people to care more. It was getting them to type less.

We are not letting anyone off the hook. We just do not mind building the fix.

Nobody is sitting down to think something through, let alone type it out. So we stopped asking them to type it, and asked them to say it.

Saying it

They came to us with something half-built that had been stuck for a long time, and a deadline they could not move. The hard part was not the code, it was untangling decisions someone else had already made. We got it live, and it is still running — which, given where it started, is the bit I am proudest of.

47 seconds of talking. Transcribed automatically.

How it works

Four steps. You control three of them.

The details you want live inside their head. We do not much care whether they type them out, voice them out, or telepathically upload them straight into your mind. Telepathy is not on the table yet, so we built Sayso.

  1. 01

    Build the Ask

Your questions, grouped however you need them. However they choose to answer is their business, not yours.

  2. 02

    Send the link

One private link per person, labelled so you know exactly who said what before anyone replies.

  3. 03

    They talk about it

One question at a time. They hit record and just talk, without overthinking it.

  4. 04

    You get the details

Transcribed, laid out, ready to use. You did not chase anyone. They just told you.

Why bother

You are just so, so tired.

Tired of not getting answers. Tired of reading GPT tell you about someone else’s business. Tired of long documents that say very little about the brand, its personality, or the problems it actually ran into.

So let your clients talk about the problem in their own words.

And once they start talking, we make sure it survives. Audio is saved to the device every few seconds, before it ever tries to upload. Close the tab, lose the wifi, watch a laptop die mid-sentence — what was already said is still there. It uploads itself the second it can.

Features

Everything an Ask can do.

We mark what is not built yet rather than quietly implying it is. Anything tagged Upcoming is on the roadmap, not in the product.

  • Answer out loud

Every question can be spoken instead of typed. People say more in ninety seconds of talking than they will ever type into a box.

  • Nothing is ever lost

Audio saves to the device every few seconds, before it uploads. Close the tab, lose the wifi, kill the battery — what was already said survives.

  • Live transcript

Words show up as they are spoken, so nobody has to trust a black box. They can fix it on the spot before moving on.

  • Works offline

A dead signal does not stop a recording. It keeps going, saves locally, and uploads itself the moment the connection is back.

  • One question at a time

A single question on screen, the rest listed down the side. Focused, without losing track of how much is left.

  • Mixed answers

Talk one question, type the next, paste a link for a third. Nobody is boxed into one format.

  • Response dashboard

Who was sent a link, who started, who finished. Play back any recording, read any transcript.

  • Publication clearance

Ask straight up what you are allowed to publish. Anything not ticked gets flagged — nothing goes out on a guess.

  • Template library

Case studies, testimonials, research interviews, post-mortems, win/loss, podcast prep — built to be answered out loud, ready to send.

  • Custom templates

Questions

Fair enough — ask away.

  • Nothing. The recording keeps going. Audio is written to their device every few seconds before any upload is attempted, so a dropped signal, a closed tab or a flat battery costs at most the last few seconds. When they reconnect, it uploads itself. This is the part of Sayso we built first and test hardest.

  • No. They just get a link, and they talk. No sign-up, no password to lose, nothing between them and answering the question.

  • Accurate enough to edit, not so precious you cannot touch it. You will see the transcript as it is generated, and you can clean it up before it goes anywhere.

  • Yes. Voice is the default because it gets you more, but nobody is forced into a microphone. Type, talk, mix both — whatever gets the answer out of their head.

  • Yes. Most people answer on their phone anyway — it is usually the thing closest to hand when they actually feel like talking.

  • An Ask is the set of questions you send someone — grouped into sections, answerable by voice, text, link or file. Think of it as the form, minus everything that made forms miserable.

  • A small team building this in the open, because we got tired of chasing our own clients for answers they were never going to type. We are early, we are testing, and we would rather ship something rough that actually works than something polished that does not.

  • Not the answers themselves. We transcribe what was actually said — pauses, tangents and all — and we never rewrite it into something smoother. There is a short summary alongside each answer to help you find your way around a long response, but it sits next to the words rather than replacing them, and the transcript is always there. The whole point is getting their voice, not a generic AI one.

Stop chasing half-finished forms.

Get your clients talking happily about something they love, have lived through, or just have an opinion on.
